Dr. F. Scott Bauer is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and has been practicing with North Mississippi Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates since 2000. He graduated with honors from The University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1987. He continued his dental education with a general and hospital dental residency in Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Bauer completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where he served as chief resident from 1992 – 1993. Dr. Bauer is highly trained in all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Bauer has pursued ongoing education in various areas such as implant surgery, bone grafting techniques, facial reconstruction, and cosmetic procedures. Additionally, he specializes in dentoalveolar surgery, implant surgery, traumatic facial injuries, and reconstruction. Dr. Bauer has held leadership positions in various dental organizations, including serving on the board of directors of the Mississippi Dental Association and as president of the First and Fourth District Dental Society. He is also the secretary and treasurer of the Mississippi Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of several other dental associations.
